After former chief minister Siddaramaiah refused for donation of Ram Temple, Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa said 'one Siddaramaiah is enough to destroy Congress party.' "One Siddaramaiah is enough to destroy Congress party. Similarly, HD Kumaraswamy is destroying his party. Even the poor are giving Rs 10 each (for Ram temple) out of devotion. Siddaramaiah says that it's disputed land, so he won't contribute," said Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa. He added, "PFI tells people to not contribute (for Ram Temple) as it's disputed land, Siddaramaiah says the same. They have the same opinion. There is no difference between Siddaramaiah and PFI, they are one."
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya on Feb 07. He held a meeting with the officials here. The Chief Minister reviewed the construction progress of the temple.
Senior Congress leader Kantilal Bhuria launched a scathing attack on BJP leaders over fund collection for Ram temple construction. Bhuria alleged that BJP leaders consume alcohol with the donation money collected for Ram Temple. “BJP leaders collected crores of rupees in the name of Ram Temple construction. They collect donations in the day and drink alcohol using the money at night,” he said. BJP's Kalsingh Bhabar has sought an apology from the Congress MLA from MP’s Jhabua. Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust is overseeing the temple construction. It authorised RSS, VHP and others to collect voluntary donations from people across the nation.

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief Nana Patole on his earlier statement, said, "I didn't speak against Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan but against their work. They are not real heroes. If they were, they would have stood beside people during their sufferings. If they want to continue being 'kagaz ke sher', then we don't have any problem. We haven't stepped back. We'll show black flags to them whenever their films are released or when we spot them." Union Minister Ramdas Athawale responded to Congress’ Nata Patole. Athawale said that his party will give protection to Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. Congress’ Nana Patole had threatened to stop Big B and Akshay's film shoot. Athawale said, "Amitabh and Akshay had spoken on rising fuel prices during the Manmohan Singh government but that doesn't mean that they should also tweet now. Threatening them is not good on Nana Patole’s part. RPI stands with Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan. We will give protection to them." Patole had said that screening of Akshay and Amitabh's films will not be allowed in the state.

After Congress leader Nana Patole threatened Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar saying shooting of their films would be stopped in Maharashtra, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale on February 19 said his party are with Akshay and Amitabh, and if Congress threatens to disturb their shoot, Republican Party of India (RPI) we'll give them protection. He said, "Congress' Nana Patole's threat to Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan for not tweeting against fuel price hike by Centre is not okay. My party is with them. If Congress threatens to disturb their shoot, we'll give them protection."
Nepal's caretaker Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday defended his latest move to dissolve parliament and called on the public to gear up for the election scheduled for April and May. Taking a jibe against his former fellow party chairman and other members of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Oli said splinter group orchestrated plots to remove him from post, thus bringing political instability in the Himalayan Nation. More than a dozen of cases have been filed against Oli's move of December in Apex Court which has continued its hearing over the weeks and is expected to give a verdict by the end of this month. If the government wins the battle in court, questions have been raised over the timings left with the Election Commission to prepare for the two phased elections which has been called on for April 30 and May 10. Elected in 2017 after landslide victory, Oli became the first Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Nepal after communist alliance of CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Center secured nearly two-third majorities in the lower house.
Students protesting against the dissolution of parliament clashed with police near the Federal Parliament of Nepal in Kathmandu on Monday. Demonstrators affiliated to All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scuffled with police as they attempted to organise a flash mob in front of Gate no 3 of Parliament in Kathmandu. Police tried to stop the demonstration which left one protestor injured seriously and few others faced minor injuries. Demonstrators tried to set off colour smoke near the parliament which has been declared a restricted area by local authorities. Nepal was plunged into a state of constitutional crisis as now caretaker Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved lower house last year calling fresh elections on April 30 and May 10, 2021. The alliance which turned into a new party under name of Nepal Communist Party headed for a split within 2 years of unity. Oli decided to dissolve lower house on December 20. Decision of Oli also is being challenged in court with over a dozen cases filed in Apex Court with verdicts expected by the end of this month.

Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai on demands for reservations by several communities said a 3-member high-level committee will be formed to look into the matter. "We've appointed a high-level committee to look into all reports, demands for reservation by communities, increase in 50% constitutional provision, Supreme Court judgements and legal framework -how to go ahead with demands and give social justice to the people," said Karnataka Home Minister. Basavaraj Bommai added, "So a 3-member high level committee has been appointed. It will be headed by a retired High Court judge who will be its Chairman. There will be one administrator and one person who will be well versed in social science."
