Ahead of the Maha Kumbh Mela starting from April 01 in Haridwar, transgender saints belonging to the Kinnar Akhara took out a royal procession in the holy city on March 06. Transgender devotees of Kinnar Akhara are one of the special attractions of the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela, the once a 12-year event dedicated to Hindu gods. The Maha Kumbh will be held between April 01 and 30 in Haridwar amid the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure the event remain pandemic-proof, devotees will be required to furnish their negative reports before entering the mela, while senior citizens, pregnant women and children below 10 years of age are not allowed to attend the event.

Mumbai's Karachi Bakery shut shop months after being attacked by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over its name. MNS leader Haji Saif Shaikh had sent a legal notice in Nov 2020 to owner of the Bakery. Shaikh had asked him to remove āKarachiā from the name. MNS leaders also protested in front of the shop in Bandra in November. āPatriots will never buy anything when they see the name āKarachiā. We made it clear that we only had problem with the name not the bakery,ā said Shaikh. A Twitter handle, MNCDF Bombay, refuted the MNS Haji Saif Shaikhās claim. The handle said that Karachi bakery shut its store due to lack of business. Karachi Bakery, a Hyderabad-based chain, is run by a Sindhi Hindu migrant family. They family moved to India after experiencing violence by pro-Pakistan elements. The bakery has shops across several cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru etc. Watch the full video for more.

According to Kanpur's Regency Hospital, Unnao case victim is in stable condition. Hospital PRO Paramjeet Arora said, "She is in stable condition now which is a good thing. We are trying to reduce her ventilator support." She was found in critical condition in the agriculture field on evening of Feb 17 in Unnao while 2 other girls were found dead there.
Last rites of the two girls who were found dead in their agriculture field on February 17 in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district were performed on February 19 in Asoha village amid heavy security. A team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) also reached the crime spot for investigation. While speaking to ANI in Unnao on February 19, IGP Lucknow Range, Laxmi Singh said, "6 teams have been formed, they have been given different tasks and further investigation is on. SP Unnao himself is monitoring these teams. Post mortem report has revealed several things and we are heading in the right direction." "We hope to get a breakthrough soon," IGP Lucknow Range added.

"Central government should bring legislation in regard to OTT (over-the-top) platforms," he said.
