PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-II and Surat Metro Rail Project on January 18.
PM Modi said that both cities are receiving very important gifts as metro will further strengthen the connectivity in two major business centres of the country.

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumbrah has been released from India's squad for the fourth and final Test against England in Ahmedabad, because of personal reasons. The five day final test of the England tour of India will start on March 4th. Jasprit Bumrah has apparently stated personal reasons. "I won't be able to say 'when' it is a 'dharam sankat,' said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman when asked about reducing fuel prices during an event in Ahmedabad on February 25. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on February 26 held a roadshow in Gujarat's Surat after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) scored seats in Gujarat local body polls. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got good number of seats in civic body polls in its debut. The party got 27 seats in the Surat Municipal Corporation.
