PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-II and Surat Metro Rail Project on January 18.
PM Modi said that both cities are receiving very important gifts as metro will further strengthen the connectivity in two major business centres of the country.

"I won't be able to say 'when' it is a 'dharam sankat,' said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman when asked about reducing fuel prices during an event in Ahmedabad on February 25. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on February 26 held a roadshow in Gujarat's Surat after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) scored seats in Gujarat local body polls.
