Ahead of 354th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, preparations are underway at Takhat Sri Harimandir ji Patna Sahib also known as Harimandir Sahib in Bihar.

The celebration is also called as Guru Gobind Singh Parkash Utsav or Prakash Parv.

The auspicious day of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti will be celebrated on January 20.

Devotees offered prayers at Sri Harimandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar on the occasion of 'Prakash Purab' on January 19. The three-day celebrations are also called as Guru Gobind Singh Parkash Utsav. On the occasion, devotees take out 'nagar kirtan' (a religious procession). Guru Gobind Singh was the 10th Sikh guru.

Bihar man creates 'in-house' nests for birds

A man from Bihar's Gaya found a unique way to show his love for birds. Tanzeel-Ur-Rehman built several nests for birds in his house and converted it into a natural habitat for them. He also installed CCTV cameras to keep an eye on to ensure their safety. While speaking to ANI, Tanzeel-Ur-Rehman said, "I have created a natural habit for the bird. We don't allow the usage of guns and slingshot. I have installed CCTV camera to keep an eye on them."
