On the killing of IndiGo manager in Patna, Bihar DGP SK Singhal said, "An important aspect which has emerged is that there was a conflict over airport parking contract.
Prima facie it appears that the incident occurred due to this reason.
It's clear that contract killers were hired for it." On evening of January 12, IndiGo station manager Rupesh Kumar Singh was shot dead outside his residence in Patna.
The incident brought the law and order situation of Bihar in question once again.

Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that his Cabinet colleagues had decided to pay for Covid-19 vaccine. The announcement came on the day that India expanded the inoculation drive to include those aged above 60 years, and those aged 45+ with comorbidities. Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar chaired review meeting with officials over 2021 Haridwar Kumbh Mela at Police HQ in Dehradun on February 19. State DGP discussed crowd control, transportation and police deployment with State officials in the meeting. While speaking to ANI, Kumar said, "Officials from border states and Central agencies met over arrangements related to Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2021 today. Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar on February 18 informed that one body and a body part have been recovered from Tapovan tunnel, while a body found from Raini village's north side today following glacier burst. A glacier broke in the Tapovan- Raini area of Chamoli District of Uttarakhand on Feb 07, which led to massive flooding in Dhauliganga and Alaknanda Rivers and damaged houses and the nearby Rishiganga power project.
Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar informed about the interstate meeting on Kumbh Mela that will take place on February 19 in Haridwar. Ashok Kumar said, "Preparations on for Kumbh Mela.
