Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that his Cabinet colleagues had decided to pay for Covid-19 vaccine. The announcement came on the day that India expanded the inoculation drive to include those aged above 60 years, and those aged 45+ with comorbidities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar were among those vaccinated on Day 1 of Phase 2. Watch the full video for more.

As the second phase of vaccination drive began across the nation on March 01, Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar took his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Patna today. CM Nitish took the vaccination on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

The ceremony was held at the Raj Bhavan, in the presence of Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi shared her views on International Women's Day and said that women represent Lakshmi, Durga and Saraswati and must understand their strength and consider themselves as strong. The display of cultural tableaux was held as a part of the 72nd Republic Day parade. Leading from the front, Ladakh showcased their first-ever tableau. Tableau displayed culture and communal harmony besides art, architecture, festivals, literature and music. A replica of the Sun Temple at Modhera was also displayed on the Gujarat tableau, depicting parts of the Sun Temple including its 52 pillars. Tableau of Punjab showcased the glory of 9th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, with the theme of '400th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur'. The end of the trailer shows Gurdwara Sri Rakab Ganj Sahib, the site of cremation of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Designed after the theme 'Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh's tableau also displayed the auspicious Ram Mandir. The forepart of the middle tableau shows Deepotsava of Ayodhya, in which millions of earthen lamps were lit.

Where the sacrifice of ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, will be depicted on Punjab's tableau, redevelopment work of Chandni Chowk will be displayed on the tableau of the national capital. 17 states and UTs tableaux will be displayed this year on January 26.
