An architect in Punjabās Bathinda has built a vehicle inspired by the Rafale. The jet-shaped vehicle can run at a speed of 15 to 20 kmph. The vehicle, that cost ā¹ 3 lakhs to build, is painted light blue and has no roof. The vehicle has side view mirrors and is also equipped with a windshield. The architect of the vehicle, Rampal Behaniwal, said that he first had the idea when he saw the Rafale jets land in India and added that the vehicle will be displayed soon at a cultural park. "This (vehicle) cost me about Rs 3 lakh and will be displayed in my (soon to be launched) cultural park for people, who can't afford flying so that they can fulfil their dream in some or the other way. DRDO chief G Satheesh Reddy lauded the government after HAL bagged the contract to manufacture 83 Tejas LCA. Reddy added that that will be giving a major boost to the aeronautics of the country. Calling the decision 'historical', Reddy said it will pave the way for development of new aircraft. "83 LCA order from IAF is the single largest order ever as far as the number is concerned. LCA Tejas Mark-1A aircraft is supposed to replace Mirage and Jaguar aircraft. Rafale is a different class of aircraft but LCA too has advanced technological features," he said. The Defence Ministry handed over the contract on Wednesday at Aero India air show in Bengaluru. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is likely to produce the first LCA Mark 1A aircraft by 2023. The LCA Mark 1A is the advanced version of Tejas fighter aircraft.

Wing Commander S Dhami, who is a Helicopter Pilot, urged families to motivate and support their girls who want to wear the uniform of Air Force, because it will boost the morale of the girl to achieve the goals. Wing Commander, Shweta Batra, who is posted in Logistics branch, said that if a girl has positive attitude she can achieve anything. "Everyone should think that if they can take one step ahead, that step will open ways for them."
An Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on routine training sortie carried out a precautionary landing 30 km short of Ahmedabad while returning from Kevadia on March 06. The pilot, Colonel Nambiar displayed immense situational awareness and immediately carried out a precautionary landing on a civil road at Nadiad in Kheda district. Army training Command head Lt. General Raj Shukla and Air Force South-Western Air Command Chief Air Marshal Sk Ghotia were onboard. All the passengers, crew members onboard are safe.

Indian Air Force Chief (IAF) Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said that India too can be aggressive if China shows aggression. While addressing a press conference in Rajasthanās Jodhpur on the sidelines of IAF and the French Air and Space Force's bilateral exercise 'Desert Knight-21', Bhadauria said, āIf they (China) can be aggressive, so can we. We are fully prepared.ā The IAF Chief also said that eight Rafale fighter jets have arrived in India and three will come by the end of the month. āEnough pilots are being trained. Parallel training is also being done in India. Numbers will be enough so that we can maintain cockpit to pilot ratio. By next year, the induction of the jets will conclude," he added. Exercise Desert Knight-21 is being held at Jodhpur Air Force Station from January 20 to January 24. The French are participating with Rafale, Airbus A-330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), A-400M Tactical Transport aircraft and approximately 175 personnel. The IAF aircrafts participating in the exercise include Mirage 2000, Su-30 MKI, Rafale, IL-78 Flight Refuelling Aircraft, AWACS and AEW&C aircraft. Four French Rafale fighter jets landed in Jodhpur for exercise Desert Knight-21. The jets landed in Jodhpur after flying directly for around four hours from the Djibouti airbase using their A-330 multirole tanker transport aircraft which also landed there. Jodhpur District and Sessions Court in Rajasthan dismissed the plea of the State Government in the blackbuck poaching case. It was alleged that Bollywood actor Salman Khan had presented false affidavit in connection with Arms Act. Government's plea was earlier dismissed by the lower court. Speaking to media, Salman Khan's lawyer, Hastimal Saraswat said, "Jodhpur District and Sessions Court dismissed both the pleas of the State Government in a detailed order.
