According to Managing Director of Avon Cycles Onkar Singh, "After fuel price hike, demand for electric cycles has gone up by 10-15% in last 2 months. We've launched E-bikes, which will be available in North India from next week." With the prices of petrol inching closer to Rs 100 per litre, the demand for battery-operated scooters is on the rise. People want to save on fuel costs and as a result they are opting for electric vehicles.

The body of a 12-year-old girl was found buried in a pit in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district. The body was found near a house of a villager five days after the girl went missing. The villager’s son who is the prime suspect is absconding. “The girl was having a meal with her mother and sisters in a field on February 25. The girl had gone looking for water to a nearby house and never returned,” said Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) SK Singh. According to the police, a man was living in the house with his father, where the girl had gone looking for water. The father has been arrested and police are still looking for the boy. The body of a girl was excavated from a pit in a village in Anupshahr in UP's Bulandshahr district on March 02. Her missing complaint was lodged on February 28 by the family members. While speaking to media on March 02, Bulandshahr SSP Santosh Kumar Singh said, "The body of a girl excavated from a pit today in a village in Anupshahr. An acid attack survivor married her long-time friend in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar. The marriage ceremony on March 1 was attended by the couple’s friends and family. Pramodini Roul, 29, got engaged to Saroj Sahoo, 30, in April 2018 in Lucknow. “I suffered an acid attack in 2009 and I met my now-husband, Saroj in 2014. I met Saroj while I was undergoing treatment, he supported me throughout the journey,” said Pramodini. Pramodini, alias Rani, was undergoing treatment when the duo met for the first time. Pramodini hails from Jagatsinghpur district while Saroj resides in Cuttack. Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal also gave blessings to the couple on their marriage. Saroj said, “Through our wedding, I want to give out a message to the entire country. An acid attack doesn’t mean end of life, I love her and our relationship is of 5 years.”

The Son of BJP MP Kaushal Kishore was shot at in Lucknow on March 3. Ayush (30) was shot at in the Madiaon area around 2 am. Lucknow Police informed the attack was staged to implicate few people. Police detained Ayush’s brother- in-law, Adarsh. “We interrogated Adarsh and he accepted his role in the incident. Adarsh confessed he fired gunshots but it was his brother-in-law who asked him and was repeatedly persuaded by Ayush to commit the crime. Why the incident happened or was staged is yet to be probed,” said DK Thakur, Lucknow Police Commissioner. Thakur further stated that Adarsh also said that Ayush wanted to implicate some people. In the latest development in the shooting incident on BJP MP Kaushal Kishore's son, police found involvement of Ayush's brother-in-law in the incident. Lucknow Police Commissioner DK Thakur said,"At midnight around 2:10 am, some 3-4 unidentified persons fired gunshots at BJP MP Kaushal Kishore's son Ayush carried out the attack on himself to frame another person. During incident, his brother-in-law Adarsh was also with him. On search, we recovered pistol from his (Adarsh's) house which smelled afresh. Adarsh confessed that he (Ayush) carried out the attack on himself to frame another person." Son of BJP MP Kaushal Kishore shot in Lucknow by unidentified miscreants in wee hours of March 03. He was rushed to hospital for treatment. The condition of the victim is stable right now. Kaushal Kishore is BJP MP from Mohanlalganj.
