The traditional Kashmiri gown "Pheran" with new designs is in great demand during the chilly winter seasons in Kashmir.

Despite the availability of new modern collections in the market, these traditional gowns are still in huge demand especially during this harsh period of winter also known as 'Chillai Kalan.'

These Pherans are worn for five to six months from November to March.

The hanging intricate design on Pheran attracts every passerby and is the integral part of Kashmiri bride's trousseau.
