Fog and cold wave led to low visibility on the morning of January 24.
Dense to very dense fog was observed at isolated pockets of East Uttar Pradesh while moderate fog reported in remaining parts of the state, as per the India Meteorological Department.
A thick blanket of fog continued to engulf isolated areas of the national capital leading to poor visibility in several areas on the morning of February 14. Singhu border was covered with thick layer of fog. Similar situation was observed in Punjabi Bagh area. Normal lives hit out of gear due to intense cold waves. Parts of northern India are reeling under severe cold, making daily lives difficult for citizens. The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded around 10.degrees today.
A layer of fog was enveloped in Bihar's Muzaffarpur on February 03. A low level visibility was observed at NH-28 near Chandni Chowk flyover. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted, "Fog/mist in the morning and mainly clear sky later" for today in Muzaffarpur. On the other side, the cold waves have also tightened its grip in UP's Moradabad today. Locals are facing difficulties during foggy and icy mornings.

Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Information) Navneet Sehgal informed about the current status of the state in regards to COVID-19 fresh infections. He said that state has recorded 100 new active cases of COVID-19 in past 24 hours and 143 people have been recovered on the same duration. 5,92,699 people have been recovered and discharged till date. The positivity rate of the state is 0.01 per cent.
India Meteorological Department (Bhubaneswar) Director, HR Biswas said that hot weather conditions prevailing in Bhubaneswar and in some districts of Odisha. He said that Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded highest temperature for February 27. "Bhubaneswar's airport area recorded 40.6 degree Celsius which is highest in Odisha and it may be highest in India," he said.
