After offering 'chadar', Naqvi read the message sent by the PM in front of media persons.

India and the European Union (EU) on Saturday announced their decision to resume negotiations for a balanced and comprehensive trade agreement after a gap of eight years and unveiled an ambitious connectivity partnership, during a virtual meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of 27 member nations of the bloc. In his remarks, Modi invited the EU to support a proposal by India and South Africa to waive patents on COVID-19 vaccines so that there can be equitable vaccine access for the entire world, officials said. The meeting, participated by leaders of EU member states as well as the top leadership of the EU, also decided to launch negotiations on two other key agreements on investment protection and geographical indications.

In view of COVID-19 vaccine shortage in the county, Rajasthan Transport Minister Pratap Khachariyawas on May 08 urged Centre to provide free vaccines for the people and said free COVID vaccine is the right of every citizen of this country and it should be given to all without any discussion. "People are gasping for oxygen and you (Centre) took control of oxygen management in your hands. If you can't manage then let the states manage on their own. Free vaccine is the right of every citizen of this country. It should be given to all without any discussion... They (Centre) have put GST on vaccines and started increasing prices of petrol and diesel after Bengal elections," said Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Khachariyawas on COVID situation in the country.
24 states including Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have more than 15% positivity rate for COVID-19 in their daily infections, informed Union Health Ministry. "Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Haryana and Bihar have a high caseload," said Arti Ahuja, Additional Secretary (Health) while addressing a press conference in Delhi.
