Around 2,000 sanitation workers demonstrated in West Bengal's Siliguri against the state government, demanding their jobs to be made permanent.

Workers agitated under the banner of Uttarbanga Safai Karmachari Samity in Siliguri on February 17.

Group leader said that they called for an indefinite strike until state government accepts their demands.
