‘Ask protesting farmers about democracy’: Sanjay Raut on foreign envoys’ visit

As envoys from 24 nations are visiting Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of the situation in the region, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has mocked the visit.

The Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP said that they should also visit the farmers protesting in Ghazipur, Sindhu & Tikri borders and speak to them about democracy.

Farmers have been protesting at Delhi’s border for over two months.

They have been demanding the withdrawal of the three farm laws passed by the Centre.

They allege that the laws will benefit large corporate and be detrimental to the cause of farmers.

While the Modi government has agreed to make amendments to the laws, farmers have insisted on complete repeal.

Watch the video for all the details.

Top Congress leaders, including the party president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, held a rally in Jaipur on Saturday, April 6, to publicly launch its election manifesto 'Nyay Patra'. The Jaipur public rally comes a day after the Congress released its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls promising a legal guarantee for MSP, and passing a constitutional amendment to raise the 50 per cent cap on reservations for SCs, STs and OBCs among others. The release of the manifesto 'Nyay Patra' was announced by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, expressing happiness and pride in her mother Sonia Gandhi's presence in Rajasthan after becoming a member of the Rajya Sabha. Unemployment, claimed to be at its peak, was criticised, with allegations made against the BJP and Modi government for failing to address the issue adequately. The Agniveer scheme, accused of shattering people's hopes, was mentioned, along with concerns raised about leaked papers in various states and the ongoing protests by farmers, suggesting that PM Modi is unwilling to heed their grievances.
