While speaking to media in Bengaluru on March 04, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Karnataka Legislative Assembly and former Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah condemned suspension of Congress MLA BK Sangamesh in Karnataka Assembly. Siddaramaiah said, "It is totally illegal, undemocratic, arbitrary, dictatorial attitude."
Former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on February 23 visited the incident site where a quarry blast took lives of six people. He reviewed the site and talked to the authorities regarding the incident. As many as six people lost their lives and one got injured in the Chikkaballapur quarry blast. The incident happened due to large amount of explosives. A high-level investigation is underway and action will be taken against the guilty.

Amid the ongoing state assembly elections, BJP president JP Nadda questioned the "lockdown imposed in West Bengal" when foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Mandir was held in Ayodhya. "Should we let it continue? Should a grand temple of Lord Ram be made in Ayodhya or not?," he asked. Nadda further urged people to give a befitting reply to TMC in the polls.

Jharkhand Congress MLA Irfan Ansari stoked controversy by performing puja at a temple. Ansari performed puja at Deoghar's Baidyanath Dham temple, a sacred abode of Lord Shiva. BJP MP Dr Nishikant Dubey demanded arrest of Ansari after he offered prayers at temple. Dubey claimed that entry of non-Hindus is strictly not allowed at Baidyanath temple. The MP from Godda demanded that Jharkhand's JMM-led govt order arrest of Ansari. He also sought action against the deputy commissioner and SP of Deoghar.
