As Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met top BJP leaders in Delhi amid speculation of revolt against him by state party MLAs, Uttarakhand BJP MLA Munna Singh Chauhan dismissed the rumours of "unhappiness over the CM", and said that Trivendra Singh Rawat continues to be the Chief Minister. Chauhan also clarified that there is no official legislature party meeting called for tomorrow.

Labour rights activist Nodeep Kaur was granted bail on Friday. Kaur was arrested during a protest by workers in Haryana on January 12. Nodeep was granted bail in two of three cases filed against her. The activist said she will visit the Singhu border protest site again. "I will keep raising my voice for farmers and labourers. I would like to thank the lawyers who got me out. I thank everyone, I will definitely visit Singhu border," she said. This also comes after climate activist Disha Ravi was granted bail. Ravi was arrested by Delhi police on February 13 in Toolkit case.

The counting of votes polled in elections to six municipal corporations of Gujarat began on February 23. Counting of votes for Gujarat local body polls is taking place at a polling centre in Vadodara. Vadodara recorded the turnout of 47.84%. The elections of local body polls were held on February 21. Rajkot recorded the turnout of 50.72%. Counting of votes is underway at a counting centre in Surat at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology. Surat recorded the turnout of 47.14%. The six civic bodies- Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar were being ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Ahmedabad recorded the lowest turnout of 42.51% on voting day.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that BJP and Congress are afraid of the people who voted for the AAP in the local body polls in Gujarat. "I have been listening to statements of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, over the past few days after the results. They are perturbed and a little scared. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on February 26 held a roadshow in Gujarat's Surat after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) scored seats in Gujarat local body polls. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got good number of seats in civic body polls in its debut. The party got 27 seats in the Surat Municipal Corporation. The ruling BJP swept the polls across six municipal corporations in Gujarat, winning 483 out of 576 seats.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday cast his vote at a polling booth here for election to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and expressed confidence that the BJP will win the civic polls in Gujarat.
