Union Home Minister Amit Shah reacted on Gujarat Municipal election results.
He slammed opposition parties by saying, "Opposition tried to create many types of misconceptions on a range of issues like farmers' protest and COVID-19 and successive poll results have dismantled these misconceptions, from Leh-Ladakh to Hyderabad and Gujarat." Shah added that results of West Bengal elections will also be good.

An Indian Army helicopter was forced to make a precautionary landing in Gujarat on March 6. The chopper, reportedly carrying top defence officials, landed in a field in Kheda. An official release credited the pilot, Colonel BR Nambiar, with good flying skills. Personnel were deployed at the field to create a cordon around the chopper.

An Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on routine training sortie carried out a precautionary landing 30 km short of Ahmedabad while returning from Kevadia on March 06. The pilot, Colonel Nambiar displayed immense situational awareness and immediately carried out a precautionary landing on a civil road at Nadiad in Kheda district. Army training Command head Lt. General Raj Shukla and Air Force South-Western Air Command Chief Air Marshal Sk Ghotia were onboard. All the passengers, crew members onboard are safe.
The Indian cricket team won the fourth test match against England by an innings and 25 runs. They won the series by 3-1 on March 06 in Gujarat's Ahmedabad. Cricket fans were seen enjoying and rejoicing outside the Narendra Modi Stadium. While speaking to ANI, a cricket fan said, "We are happy to see the largest cricket stadium of the world today." Another fan added, "We are proud of Axar Patel's performance in the test match and also happy to see world's largest cricket stadium." Narendra Modi Stadium is the largest cricket stadium in the world which is located near the banks of Sabarmati River.
Mumbai's Karachi Bakery shut shop months after being attacked by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over its name. MNS leader Haji Saif Shaikh had sent a legal notice in Nov 2020 to owner of the Bakery. Shaikh had asked him to remove ‘Karachi’ from the name. MNS leaders also protested in front of the shop in Bandra in November. “Patriots will never buy anything when they see the name ‘Karachi’. We made it clear that we only had problem with the name not the bakery,” said Shaikh. A Twitter handle, MNCDF Bombay, refuted the MNS Haji Saif Shaikh’s claim. The handle said that Karachi bakery shut its store due to lack of business. Karachi Bakery, a Hyderabad-based chain, is run by a Sindhi Hindu migrant family. They family moved to India after experiencing violence by pro-Pakistan elements. The bakery has shops across several cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru etc. Watch the full video for more.

An ex-serviceman, who was a star medal awardee during the India-China war, now drives an autorickshaw in Hyderabad for a living. Sheikh Abdul Kareem, participated in the India-China war and was posted in Lahaul area. He has now urged the government to provide a house to ex-servicemen who fought to defend the country. ‘Despite winning a good service medal, I have not even received any sort of pension or any financial support from the government. Ex-Army personnel and star medal awardee drives auto rickshaw on Hyderabad streets to earn his bread and butter. Sheik Abdul Kareem received a special award for his contribution in the1971 Indo-China war. During Indira Gandhi reign due to surplus of army personnel, several were removed from their postings. The 71-year-old served in the army for 9 years but now is homeless and is fighting daily for a living. Kareem requested the government for financial support in the form of pension and shelter.
