Reacting on Priyanka Gandhi's tweet on farmers' situation, Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan said that Congress is behaving like vulture and wants to take benefit from farmers protest. On his meeting with people of Western UP, Balyan said, "The region doesn't have Mandi. There's only Gur Mandi that will be benefitting small-scale farmers with exemption of 2.5% tax over gur. In a way, contract farming already exists and APMC has no impact."

Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended a fake TTE in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh on April 08. Fake TTE, Deep Shubham was caught on spot checking tickets in Northeast Express train. He also demanded money from without ticket passengers. Passengers raised doubt and inform the other TTE who was present in the train. Soon after, GRP took cognizance of the matter and arrested the fake TTE. He is a resident of Bihar who has done MPhil from JNU.
