COVID: India continues to record over 16,000 cases

COVID: India continues to record over 16,000 cases

A total of 1,43,01,266 beneficiaries have been vaccinated for COVID-19 across India.

The country also reported 16,752 new COVID-19 cases and 11,718 discharges on Feb 28.

With new infections, the COVID tally of the country stood at 1,10,96,731 while, active cases stand at 1,64,511.

With 113 deaths in last 24 hours, death toll rose to 1,57,051.

CM Kejriwal announces weekend curfew in Delhi

After the review meeting with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal over COVID-19 situation in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on April 15 announced weekend curfew. "Curfew passes will be given to essential service and to those who have marriages scheduled without any harassment. Malls, gyms, auditoriums, spas to be closed and cinemas halls can operate at 30% capacity only," said CM Kejriwal. Delhi reported over 17,000 fresh cases on April 14.
