Bodies of three missing fishermen were recovered by an Indian Navy vessel during a search operation on April 16. INS Nireekshak was deployed with navy divers for rescue operations. A fishermen boat collided with a foreign cargo vessel off Mangaluru coast. Search for the fishermen has been on for the last four days. Vessels and choppers of the Indian Coast Guard, Navy and coastal security police have been part of the search. "The naval divers after extensive diving (at depth of 150 metres) throughout the day recovered the bodies at about 8 pm today", a Defence spokesman said. Watch the full video for more.

The Indian Navy deployed INS Nireekshak underwater at off the coast of New Mangalore on Apr 16. The specialised Diving Support Vessel has been deployed to search and rescue missing fishermen. The ship was able to recover three bodies the same day it got deployed and handed them over to local authorities at New Mangalore on Apr 17. INS Nireekshak has continued to search remaining fishermen.
To lead naval exercise 'La Perouse' with Quad members' Navies, French Navy's Tonnerre and Surcouf frigate arrived in Kochi. The ships were welcomed by Indian Navy staff with great pomp and show. Two ships will lead the navies' joint exercise 'La Perouse'. The exercise is scheduled to be held from April 05 to April 07 in Bay of Bengal. India, US, Australia and Japan are all set to take part in 'La Perouse' joint exercise.
Speaking on incident in which oxygen was leaked while it was being filled in a tanker in Maharashtra's Nashik, State Health Minister Rajesh Tope on April 21 said it will impact the hospital and government will issue a press note after gathering more information in the matter. "Due to the walls leakage of the tanker in Nashik, there was massive Oxygen leakage. There must definitely have been an impact on the hospital it was going to but I'm yet to gather more information. We'll issue a press note after gathering more information," said Tope while addressing a press conference in Mumbai.
