Ahead of the Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is effectively campaigning in several cities of the state.

He conducted a massive road show in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu on February 28.

During his rally, Rahul Gandhi said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi says India has 1 culture, 1 history and 1 language.

Is Tamil history not Indian history or Tamil culture not Indian culture?

India has multiple cultures, history and languages." "The PM must respect every language and culture," he added.

"The no. of active cases in the state is now around 33,659 including 12,861 cases in Chennai. We are rapidly increasing COVID care centers. Here, we are planning 11,775 COVID care centres so that asymptomatic and mild cases don't occupy the oxygen beds," he said. "In Tamil Nadu, we don't have a shortage of vaccines. We have almost 18 lakh doses of vaccine available. We are aiming to do 2 lakh vaccinations in a day. In that case, our stock will last for 9 days," he added.
