As India records biggest ever single-day spike in Covid cases, CBSE has cancelled class 10th exams and postponed the class 12th exam. Class 10th Students will be evaluated on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams. Termed as the father of Indian constitution, he always worked for the welfare of deprived people. Ambedkar was conferred with Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in 1990.

COVID-19 Vaccination In-Charge in Odisha, Bijay Panigrahi, said that they expect to receive more vaccines within two days from the Government of India. "Vaccine program is going on smoothly in the state. We have 3.2 lakh doses of Covishield and 1 lakh doses of Covaxin in Odisha. With this stock, we can continue vaccination for 2 days. We expect to receive vaccines from the Govt of India within 2 days," said Bijay Panigrahi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took his second shot of COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS, Delhi on April 08. He received the first dose of Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN on March 01. "I have given the second dose of COVAXIN to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. He spoke to us. It was a memorable moment for me as I got to meet him and vaccinate him," said Nisha Sharma, Nurse. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan cleared that there is no shortage of COVID-19 vaccine in the country. He said, "Issue is about better planning and not the shortage of doses". "Till now we've provided 13,10,90,000 doses to states and union territories. On one hand, we have states like Kerala where there is zero wastage (of vaccine) and on the other hand, we have several other states where there still is 8-9% of wastage. As per data till 11 am today, unutilised doses available with states/UTs is over 1,67,20,000. This month - till April end - 2,01,22,960 doses will be provided to states/UTs. This clearly shows that issue is about better planning and not the shortage of doses," he added.
