The BJP has announced the nominations for the Lok Sabha elections, with former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan nominated from Vidisha and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia set to contest the Guna seat. The 53-year-old leader is among the 195 Lok Sabha election candidates announced by the BJP at its presser on Saturday. The first list includes several bigwigs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and defence minister Rajnath Singh. After the announcement was made, Scindia took to social media platform X to thank the BJP top brass for his candidature. âBJP's top leadership has given me an opportunity to serve the brothers and sisters of Guna. I am really fortunate. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, Union home minister Amit Shah ji and BJP president JP Nadda ji. Womenâs History Month was birthed after
garment workers in New York City held a
massive protest on March 8, 1857.
The strike was repeated on the same date in
1908 and throughout the year, which led to March 8
being named International Womenâs Day.
In 1978, activist Molly Murphy
MacGregor instituted a local
âwomen's history weekâ
in Sonoma, California.
It was recognized nationally
on a year-to-year basis in 1980 by
President Jimmy Carter.
By 1986, 14 states recognized March as Womenâs
History Month, as a result of the hard work of

A year later, in 1987, the entire nation began celebrating National Women's Day in March
