After receiving flak for giving out 'free Flabiflu' in his parliamentary constituency East Delhi, BJP MP Gautam Gambhir on Thursday asked if a few strips of Fabiflu he obtained is causing its shortage and said he is proud to save somebody's life in this pandemic. During the sixth phase of West Bengal Assembly elections, a clash erupted on April 22 between the workers of BJP and TMC workers in West Bengal's East Bardhaman. Reason that triggered clash is yet to be known.
Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on April 19 announced that 121 fast- track courts has been sanctioned for Bengal for sexual offences against children in West Bengal. "Been writing to Mamata Banerjee for her consent but all went in vain. You're a woman CM. What's the problem with fast-track courts for sexual offences against children?" Law Minister asked. "Fast-track courts established across country for fast-tracking cases of sexual offences against children, wherein Centre provides 50% funds and remaining states do. 121 fast-track courts sanctioned for Bengal, there has been no response from CM Mamata," he added.
As India battles a second COVID wave, Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad called the 2nd wave a 'global phenomenon'. "The second wave of COVID19 is a global phenomenon. "Hospitals in Delhi are facing oxygen crisis receiving messages and emails from hospitals since morning," said Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on April 22. He also accused Haryana and Uttar Pradesh government for the crisis. "Many hospitals in Delhi are facing Oxygen crisis right now. Oxygen is completely exhausted in some, I have been receiving messages and emails from hospitals since morning. We are somehow providing them cylinders by rearranging from other hospitals that have slightly more stock," said Sisodia.

Alipur Police Station, Outer North District police facilitated the movement of oxygen tanker from Singhu Border, which was stuck at Kundli Border today. The tanker was scheduled to arrive at Jaipur Golden Hospital in Rohini. All the necessary arrangements are being made by administration and government to provide oxygen to hospitals. A Delhi court gave the death penalty to convict Ariz Khan in the 2008 Batla House encounter. The court also charged a Rs 11 lakh fine in the case, of which Rs 10 lakh will be given to the family of Delhi Police inspector Mohan Chand Sharma who was killed in the encounter.
