Five days after testing positive for COVID-19, legendary India batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been hospitalised for "abundant precaution under medical advice". Last Saturday, Tendulkar had informed that he tested positive for coronavirus and added that all other members at his home have returned a negative COVID result. On Friday, he tweeted: "Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Former MP from Bihar and Jan Adhikar Party chief Rajiv Ranjan known as Pappu Yadav was arrested on Tuesday morning from his Patna residence for alleged violation of Covid-19 lockdown norms. Bihar is under a 10-day lockdown till May 15. Yadav suggested his arrest was politically motivated. He said he has been helping needy families in the last 1.5 months despite undergoing an operation.

Medical oxygen leak reported at South Goa on Tuesday. In the video, oxygen can be seen leaking from a tanker at a hospital. The incident was reported from South Goa District hospital. A consignment of 25 boxes of Covishield vaccine arrived at Raipur from Mumbai. Following Chhattisgarh High Court orders, the stare government had commenced vaccination drive for citizens between 18-44 age groups. The state required vaccines in order to continue the vaccination process.
India is fighting with 2nd wave of coronavirus currently. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Brijmohan Agrawal offered helping hand in an effort to beat COVID-19. He has converted the hostel of an engineering college into a COVID-19 care centre in Raipur. The 200-bedded COVID-19 care centre offers free of cost service of food, medicine, oxygen, yoga training, etc. Around 50 medical staff has been recruited to look after the patients. The COVID-19 care centre got opened on April 20.
