Amid increase in demand for oxygen to fight against COVID-19, an oxygen plant has been set up in Jammu and Kashmir. The O2 plant has been set up at Sub District Hospital (SDH) in Kupwara district. The oxygen plant will help everyone across the city amid oxygen crisis. "This facility will be beneficial for everyone," Dr. Sheikh Iqbal, Consultant Physician said to ANI. Meanwhile, JandK has reported over 16,993 active COVID-19 cases.
Two terrorists and three associates were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district. Police seized arms and ammunition from the possession of the terrorists and their aides. Police said that as per the preliminary probe those arrested were working for Al-Badr terror outfit. “We acted on specific information regarding movement of terrorists in the area. A special checkpoint was established near Kachloo Crossing by security forces. During checking of vehicles, three people were apprehended by the alert forces. They were riding a motorcycle and tried to escape from the spot initially. After interrogation, they revealed about two more people who were then nabbed,” a police official said. Two of the arrested were captured from Baderkali forest area following a search operation. Police said that they were planning to attack security forces installations.

A truck driver in Jammu & Kashmir was rescued by a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) team after an avalanche, as per reports. A truck was reportedly carrying essential items to Keran village. An avalanche in Kupwara reportedly trapped the truck driver on March 21 evening. It took the BRO team around half an hour to rescue the driver, reports said. The rescuers were seen lighting a large fire to help the driver. Watch the full video for more.

Eight Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers were killed, seven injured and 31 went missing in an avalanche near the Indo-China border in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, officials said on Saturday. Two bodies were recovered from the site in the Sumna area of Niti Valley on Friday night, while six more were recovered on Saturday. Indian Army personnel were seen carrying out rescue operation in the region. Army personnel were seen carrying people in a stretcher. People were even airlifted from Chamoli to Joshimath where they were being treated at the Army hospital. Watch the full video for more details.
