Tracking suggests it could sport a global opening of $150 million to $175 million, although Warner Bros. is being more cautious and suggesting closer to $140 million.

'Dune: Part Two' is set to rescue the sandstorm ridden box office with its global opening! The tentpole from filmmaker Denis Villeneuve is expected to bring in big numbers to the box office, which is currently running 18 percent behind last year, and more than 38 percent behind 2019. Warner Bros. and Legendary are being conservative in estimating a $65 million-plus domestic opening but tracking and some box office observers believe it could cross up to $80 million based on advance ticket sales and stellar reviews.
