A small crowd gathered in Fukushima on Thursday (March 25) to watch the torch relay for the Tokyo Olympics.

A small crowd gathered in Fukushima on Thursday (March 25) to watch the torch relay for the Tokyo Olympics.

Thousands of people have lined the streets for the event in previous years but because of the pandemic, spectators were banned from this year's launch ceremony.

The torch will be carried through 47 prefectures across Japan before the opening ceremony on 23rd of July.
