After a newspaper in Gujarat claimed that NCP chief Sharad Pawar and party leader Praful Patel met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Ahmedabad recently amid political crisis in Maharashtra, NCP's Mumbai chief Nawab Malik dismissed the news and said that no such meeting has taken place.
"A newspaper in Gujarat published a piece of news that (Sharad) Pawar Sahib and Praful Patel met Amit Shah.
For the last two days, rumours are being spread on Twitter.
No such meeting took place," said The rumour, however, was intensified by Shah himself who during a public rally where he said that everything cannot be made public.

Former Attorney General & Constitutional law expert Soli Sorabjee died on Friday. The 91-year-old veteran lawyer passed away after getting infected with Covid-19. Sorabjee had served as the Attorney General for India from 1989-90 & then from 1998-2004. The Former Attorney General was admitted to a private hospital in South Delhi. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and condoled Sorabjee's demise. VP Venkaiah Naidu, union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, RS Prasad and Smriti Irani also paid their tribute to the former Attorney General. NCP chief Sharad Pawar and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also tweeted and expressed their condolences. Born in 1930, Soli Sorabjee had been honoured with Padma Vibhushan in 2002.

In a viral video from Ahmedabad's Navapura village, a massive crowd of women was seen violating COVID protocols as women headed to offer prayers at the Baliyadev Temple. At least 18 people died after fire broke out at a Covid hospital in Gujarat's Bharuch. The massive blaze broke out in Covid-19 ward of the hospital at 1 am on Saturday. There were around 50 other patients at the 4-storey Welfare Hospital when fire broke out. Bharuch SP, Rajendrasinh Chudasama said, “A fire broke out at a Covid hospital in Bharuch due to a short circuit. As per our preliminary report, at least 12 patients have died due to fire.” Meanwhile PM Modi has expressed grief over the loss of lives and offered condolences to families of victims. CM Vijay Rupani announced Rs 4 lakh assistance for the kin of the deceased in hospital fire. The hospital is situated on Bharuch-Jambusar highway, around 190 km from Ahmedabad. Around 50 patients were rescued by locals, firefighters & shifted to nearby hospitals.
