After a period of one month, the snow clearing operation has been completed at Mughal Road in Jammu and Kashmir. The Mughal Road was closed due to heavy snowfall on Pir Panjal Range. The vehicular movement was affected due to heavy snow and locals faced a lot of trouble in commuting. A local hailed the progress and hopes for the restoration of vehicular movement as soon as possible.

Asclepius Wellness Foundation in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district took the initiative to 'feed the needy' for free of cost food outside a district hospital during the holy month of Ramadan. Attendants hailing from far flung area face challenge to open their 'roza.' Amid pandemic, the district is under complete lockdown and only essential services are exempted. The collaboration on a daily basis distributes 500 food packets.

Rs one crore was seized from his residence in Trichy. Chandrasekhar is an AIADMK MLA from Manapparai constituency in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu, contesting the state in alliance with the BJP.
Three terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on May 6. The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Kanigam area of the South Kashmir district during the night following information about the presence of terrorists. An official said as the presence of four newly recruited terrorists of Al-Badr outfit got ascertained, the security forces exercised maximum restraint and tried their best to persuade them to surrender. The terrorists turned down the offer to surrender and opened fire. However, one terrorist identified as Tausif Ahmad surrendered. Watch the full video for more.

A food delivery startup called Tiffin Aaw in Srinagar has started the campaign 'Food for Kashmir' on social media. They have taken it upon themselves to deliver free meals for Covid positive families, Covid warriors and people in need. The concept was started when the owner Rayees Ahmad got a lot of distress calls from people outside Kashmir, wanting food to be delivered to their Covid-hit parents.

Amid increase in the demand for medical oxygen, the JandK administration has set up a small oxygen plant in Poonch district hospital. The health authorities have full arrangements of more than 200 oxygen cylinders. The administration has small oxygen plant to provide oxygen supply in the COVID-19 wards on priority basis. Today country is reeling under the medical oxygen crisis. There are over 20,000 active COVID cases in Jammu and Kashmir.
