Convoy of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait's convoy was attacked in Tatarpur area on April 02.

The convoy was attacked when Tikait was returning after addressing a public rally.

Police has detained four persons in this connection and a team has been sent to detain other persons also.

Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rahesh Tikait on April 22 at Ghazipur border said that many farmers are struggling to get the second dose of COVID vaccine. "Farmers are at their home. Where else will we ask them to go? Is COVID spreading from here? We have been living here for last 5 months, it's our home now. Many farmers took vaccine but are struggling to get the 2nd dose. COVID patient dies due to alleged oxygen shortage at Alwar hospital

A 53-year-old COVID patient died in an ambulance allegedly due to oxygen shortage in Rajasthan's Alwar on April 29. The mishap took place at Alwar Lords hospital when he was being shifted to another in Alwar last night. However, Principal Medical Officer Sunil Kumar Chouhan said that due to some glitches in oxygen supply panel of Lords hospital, 5 critically ill patients were shifted to ICU wards of Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, and the patient in question died after shifting to ICU ward. "There were some glitches in oxygen supply panel of Lords hospital. So we shifted 5 critically ill patients to ICU ward of Rajiv Gandhi Govt General Hospital. The patient died after being shifted to ICU ward," said Chouhan.

‘Who else…’: Rakesh Tikait blames Modi govt for attack on convoy in Alwar

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait blamed the Narendra Modi govt for the attack on his convoy. Stones were allegedly pelted at the farmer leader's car, damaging the rear windshield. “The government is responsible, who else can it be? It's their youth wing. They (attackers) were saying, 'Rakesh Tikait, Go Back’. Where should I go? They hurled stones and used lathis. Why are they fighting us, we are farmers, not a political party,” Tikait said. The alleged attack took place on Friday afternoon in Rajasthan’s Alwar district. Tikait, however, was not in his car when the stones were allegedly pelted.
