BJP taking help of actors, MPs for Bengal polls: Actress-turned-TMC leader
Ahead of third phase of West Bengal assembly elections, popular actress-turned-TMC leader Sayantika Banerjee said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making actors and MPs contest elections of MLAs.
"BJP is short of candidates because they're making MPs contest MLA polls and are taking help of actors.
They don't make normal people their candidates, they either make MPs as MLAs or take help of celebrity candidates.
Ahead of the sixth phase of voting in West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held massive roadshows. While the BJP leader held a rally in Habra, the Trinamool Congress chief led a roadshow in Kolkata. Many participants at the rallies didn't follow Covid protocol, failing to maintain social distance.
