WB polls: BJP, TMC making efforts to seek support from tea garden workers

Votes of tea garden workers are set to play a decisive role in 45 constituencies in the West Bengal Assembly elections.

All the parties including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), are trying to gain support by making promises.

Sukrao Rao, a tea garden worker said, "This election, all parties coming and making big promises.

Some told we will give you Rs 300 hundred some told we will give you 'Pakka Makan'." Chanmati Parda, other Tea garden worker said, "Will not say anything right now who will win or who will lose, we are facing lots of problems. We don't have toilets and there are only 'katcha' roads to the garden." Other worker, Shefali said, "I don't know leaders are making many promises this time.

Will they fulfill it or not don't know.

Let's see what happens.

We don't have even Indira Awaas how can we survive in Rs 200 and we have no money to educate our children."
