Distant dream of smart class for Udhampur's govt school comes true

Smart classes are not only transforming education in highly paid private schools, but it is gradually making inroads in government schools set up in the backward and rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

Students pursuing education in Government Girls Middle school in Ghordi area of District Udhampur, now have access to audiovisual mode of learning also known as smart class.

The main aim of smart classes is to impart quality education to the students hailing from the rural and backward area.

The initiative was taken by school teachers; they contributed money and took out a chunk from school funds to bring this idea to ground reality.

Students expressed their delight over the modification that engulfed the education system in the district.

All COVID protocols were adhered to at the school.

Teachers and students wore masks, sanitize hands and ensured social distancing at school.
