A video of a woman misbehaving with policemen in Patna has gone viral on the internet. The woman is seen arguing with policemen over lockdown restrictions and tell them that they should also issue challans to PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. The woman flashes her tickets and says that she has not been able to find a cab to take her to the junction. A woman in Patna misbehaved with police personnel who were on duty to implement COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. She claimed that she could not get conveyance to return back to her hometown. During the verbal spat, she did not spare Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
After Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on May 5 announced lockdown till May 15, state Health Minister Mangal Pandey today appealed people with folded hand to follow the lockdown guidelines strictly. "Today the lockdown has been implemented in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken this decision after discussing with all concerned. This was necessary for the state. I request everyone to follow the rules of lockdown," Pandey said.
At least 17 people have been arrested for pasting posters criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's handling of the Covid-19 immunisation programme. The posters read in Hindi quoted, "why did PM Modi send vaccines of our children to foreign countries?" Congress' Rahul Gandhi tweeted the words, “Arrest me too," in both English and Hindi in relation to these arrests.

Bihar government has geared up and took several steps amid surge in coronavirus cases including converting Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) as a dedicated COVID facility. "We have increased beds in hospitals in view of surge in COVID cases. We have decided to make Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), a dedicated COVID facility. We are also increasing number of beds in PMCH, AIIMS, IGIMS and other medical colleges. Testing has also increased. District Control Units established for assistance to patients," said Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey to ANI.
Former MP from Bihar and Jan Adhikar Party chief Rajiv Ranjan known as Pappu Yadav was arrested on Tuesday morning from his Patna residence for alleged violation of Covid-19 lockdown norms. Bihar is under a 10-day lockdown till May 15. Yadav suggested his arrest was politically motivated. He said he has been helping needy families in the last 1.5 months despite undergoing an operation.

Police Economic Wing Unit conducted raids at various places in Patna over black marketing of Remdesivir injections. The demand of Remdesivir injections has increased amid COVID crisis. DSP of Patna Economic Wing Unit, Bhaskar Ranjan said, "We are investigating in the matter."
Speaking on black marketing of medicines, Additional Director General of Police of Bihar, Jitendra Kumar said the Economic Offences Unit is taking necessary steps towards it. Additional Director General of Police of Bihar, Jitendra Kumar said, "Bihar government has imposed lockdown from May 05. We have given 5 companies of police force to Patna to implement lockdown strictly. We have also instructed them to minimise officials in offices and send them on ground to enforce lockdown." He further said, "Economic Offences Unit is taking necessary steps to tackle black-marketing of medicines. We have registered three cases in Patna, seized 50 oxygen cylinders and arrested four people in this matter."
