Petrol and diesel prices in the national capital after a slight increase stood at Rs 90.99 and Rs 81.42 per litre, respectively on May 06. Prices rose by 25 paisa and 30 paisa respectively in Delhi. In Mumbai, the prices of petrol and diesel jumped by 22 paisa and 30 paisa to Rs 97.34 and Rs 88.49. The price of petrol and diesel in Chennai was Rs 92.90 and Rs 86.35 per litre respectively and Rs 90.92 and Rs 83.98 per litre in Kolkata.
Indian Navy ships are bringing medical oxygen from various foreign destinations. INS Talwar reached Mangaluru with 40 metric tonnes of oxygen from Bahrain. INS Kolkata is en route from Kuwait with similar cargo. INS Airavat is bringing oxygen cylinders and ISO tanks from Singapore. Meanwhile, India's defence tech firm DRDO, set up an oxygen plant at AIIMS, Delhi. Four more plants are planned at hospitals in and around the national capital. India is facing an acute shortage of medical oxygen amid the second wave of Covid-19 infections. Watch the full video for more.

Delhi Police arrested two auto lifters Saddam and Suhail in North-East Delhi. Both belonged to a Meerut-based gang. Saddam and Suhail used to steal the vehicles from Delhi-NCR, hide them at safe places and then sell them one by one in Meerut. A police team had received a tip-off regarding the movement of two auto lifters of Meerut gang coming near Gokulpuri flyover. Accordingly, a trap was laid on Gokalpuri Flyover. Police apprehended both Saddam and Suhail when they couldn't provide valid documents after being intercepted by the police team. After sustained interrogation, they disclosed their association with the Meerut Gang of auto lifters and also admitted to their involvement in multiple cases of auto lifting. Police have recovered 14 two-wheelers from them.
With the arrest of two persons Adil and Moin Crime Branch of Delhi police foiled an extortion attempt made by the accused by claiming himself to be the notorious gangsters, from Tihar Jail. A complaint was received by police from a businessman. He alleged that he received a phone call on his mobile phone stating that gangster is calling from Tihar Jail. The caller threatened the complainant and demanded Rs 50,00,000/- from him and gave two days for arranging the same else be ready to face the consequences. On the basis of technical investigation, the police team identified the locations of the suspects. It was revealed that the suspects were active in the area of North - East, Delhi, after confirming the presence in the area police conducted a raid in the area of Yamuna Vihar to nab the culprits. Sincere efforts of the team yielded results and one of the suspects was apprehended from the area. During sustained interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the crime and was subsequently arrested. Later at his instance, police apprehended his associate. On his instance the mobile phone which was used in making the ransom call was recovered. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended a fake TTE in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh on April 08. Fake TTE, Deep Shubham was caught on spot checking tickets in Northeast Express train. He also demanded money from without ticket passengers. Passengers raised doubt and inform the other TTE who was present in the train. Soon after, GRP took cognizance of the matter and arrested the fake TTE. He is a resident of Bihar who has done MPhil from JNU.
