Mallika Dua, daughter of journalist Vinod Dua took to Twitter to seek help for her Covid affected mother, Chinna Dua. She tagged Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda to help her arrange for Tocilizumab, an antibody therapy to treat Covid. Hooda responded to the tweet immediately. BJP's Hardeep Singh Puri also responded to Dua’s plea and even gave a mobile number for Dua to contact him for help.

The government will assess the coronavirus situation in England "a few days before" June 21, in the hope to end all Covid lockdown restrictions. Environment Secretary George Eustice reassured reporters that "for now it absolutely remains our intention to go to that next level, to loosen those restrictions in the way that we had planned". Krithi Karanth, director and chief conservation scientist at the non-profit organisation Centre for Wildlife Studies in Bengaluru, has been working in the field for 23 years. Her work focuses on keeping the peace between the wildlife in India’s shrinking reserves and populations whose lives and livelihoods are affected by their proximity to these reserves. The Wild Seve programme she launched in 2015 helps people file for compensation from the government for damage done by wildlife. The Wild Shaale programme launched in 2018 aims to get children excited about and to empathise with wildlife. Karanth, 42, recently won the Wild Innovator Award, a $100,000 prize given out by the US-based Wild Elements Foundation. In its inaugural year, the award was handed out to 10 women worldwide. Karanth was the only Asian.

Bangalore South MP, Tejasvi Surya addressed the reporters on Tuesday, alleging a major scam involving the allocation of hospital beds to Covid 19 patients.
