Indian Army has established a 20-bed high dependency unit (HDU) for COVID-19 patients in Baramulla district. The hospital will be running in collaboration with Civil Administration of Baramulla. Indian Army also opened 20-bed unit in Uri. "There are 5 critical care beds, rest are for patients with moderate symptoms. A 20-bed unit also opened in Uri," said Paul M Varghese, Col, medical team to ANI.
Delhi government has sought the help from different sources including the Indian Army for transportation of medical oxygen in the national capital, said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on May 03. A petition has also been filed in Delhi High Court seeking direction for handing over of management of oxygen supplies, including logistical aspect, in and around Delhi to armed forces for ensuring uninterrupted supply to hospitals and COVID facility.
