Jharkhand govt announces free vaccination for all above 18-years

Government of India had announced that everyone above 18-years will be eligible to get vaccinated from May 01.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren took another step in the same direction and announced free vaccination to all above the age of 18-years.

Currently there are 40,942 active cases in the state.

On April 22, the state reported 7,595 new COVID infections and 106 deaths.

The death toll of Jharkhand mounted to 1,715.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on April 28 informed that the 'Health Safety Week,' which was going to end on April 29, has been extended till May 06. Apart from the extension, CM Hemant Soren also shared the refined guidelines for the same. Chief Minister said, "In view of the condition of corona, it has been decided to extend the period of 'Health Safety Week'. It will be extended till 6 am on 6 May. Some changes have been made to the guidelines. The shops, which were open till 8 am, will now they will be open till 2 pm."
