IAF, Army help Agra admin to restart oxygen producing plant

With the help of Indian Air Force and Indian Army, an oxygen producing plant in Uttar Pradesh's Agra has been restarted.

DM Prabhu N Singh informed that once operations here get underway, 1100-1200 oxygen cylinders can be filled up.

"We are expected to get oxygen tankers from Ranchi, Lucknow soon", said Singh.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is continuing to aid Covid efforts by transporting oxygen tankers. The Indian Air Force's C17 planes were seen being loaded at Indore on April 27.The IAF craft carried two empty oxygen tankers to Jamnagar for refill. The refilled tankers are reportedly slated to return to Indore by road. IAF said it's shuttling oxygen tankers from at least seven cities.
