'Nagar Kirtan' at Golden Temple to celebrate Guru Teg Bahadur's anniversary
On the occasion of 400th birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur, a 'Nagar Kirtan' was organised by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), from Golden Temple to Gurdawara Guru Ka Mahal in Amritsar on April 30.
Scores of devotees were present during the occasion.
Despite unprecedented COVID situation, people were seen without masks and flouting social distancing norms. Guru Teg Bahadur was the ninth Guru of the Sikh religion.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, a three-time member of the Provincial Assembly in Pakistan, has made headlines by becoming the first member of the Sikh community to take oath as a minister in the Punjab province. This significant event unfolded on Wednesday, as the newly elected Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, announced its cabinet.
