As per the early trends of Assam Assembly election results, Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal seemed confident that BJP will regain the majority and form the government in the state.

"As per the trends, it is clear that Bharatiya Janata Party will form the government in Assam," said CM Sonowal.
