As the country is reeling under COVID-19 pandemic, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra informed that the state's positivity rate has come down to 19 per cent while the recovery rate has gone up to 85 per cent.
"12,563 new COVID-19 positive cases, 11,730 patients discharged in the state today.
The positivity rate in the state is coming down from 26% to 19% and the recovery rate is above 85%.
17,301 hospital beds are available.
Vaccination for 18-44 age group to start on May 05," said MP Home Minister.
Polling in 102 parliamentary seats across 21 states and Union Territories in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections commenced at 7 am on April 19 and ended at 6 pm. Over 102 parliamentary constituencies in 21 states and union territories headed to the polling booth on Friday, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent. Voter turnout in Assam stood at 70.77 per cent, while Manipur recorded a voter turnout of 68.58 per cent till 5 PM.
