Vaccine in numbers: 34.7 million receive first dose
Government data up to May 4 shows that of the 50,682,567 jabs given in the UK so far, 34,795,074 were first doses – a rise of 127,170 on the previous day.Some 15,887,493 were second doses, an increase of 257,486.
A total of 39,379,411 people have received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine, the UK's official Covid-19 dashboard says. There have also been 25,537,133 second doses given.
