An Israeli airstrike destroyed a 12-story building in Gaza that housed the offices of the Associated Press, Al Jazeera and other media.
Those in the building had been warned to evacuate about an hour before the strike, according to Al Jazeera.
The Israeli Airforce said on Twitter that the building housed Hamas military intelligence assets.
âPrior to the attack, the Air Force warned the civilians staying in the building and gave them sufficient time to evacuate the building,â the IAF added.
The international community has expressed deep concern following Iran's unprecedented direct attack on Israeli territory, involving explosive drones and missile strikes. Tehran's aggression comes after an April 1 air raid, widely attributed to Israel, which resulted in the destruction of Iran's consulate in Syria and claimed the lives of 12 individuals, including two high-ranking Iranian generals. Israeli forces reported intercepting the "vast majority" of missiles launched from Iran before they reached Israeli borders, highlighting the intensity of the confrontation. 28 Google workers have been fired for protesting
a $1.2 billion contract that the company has with
the Israeli government and military to provide
cloud and AI services, NBC News reports. .
The firings follow an April 16 sit-in at
Google's offices in California, New York and Seattle in which nine workers were arrested.
The group that coordinated the demonstration
is known as No Tech for Apartheid. .
