Centre, J&K leaders to meet on June 24 and discuss election, statehood: Reports | Oneindia News

In its first major political move after the bifurcation of J&K in 2019, the Centre has reached out to parties in the Valley for a meeting on June 24.

The Centre has sent feelers to leaders in J&K amid speculaton that elections could be held there soon after a delimitation exercise.

There are also rumours of a possible return to statehood after the region was reduced to a union territory post the abrogation of Article 370.
