Video filmed the morning after (Sunday 20 June) showed cars wrecked by fallen trees and a building's roof partially blown off, in the Paris suburb of Alfortville.
Two people were injured in the home that had its roof damaged, on Rue de Grenoble.
They were taken to hospital.
Luc Carvounas, mayor of Alfortville, declared a state of emergency.
