This is the shocking moment a suspected drug dealer was injured after he fell from the roof of a house while trying to escape from police. Mobile phone footage shows the dopey suspect plunging to the ground during his bungled efforts to flee from officers in Bloxwich, Walsall, West Mids.West Midlands Police raided the address on High Street at around 11.30am on Thursday (22/7) after being tipped off that cannabis was being grown at the property. The man climbed up onto the roof during the search of the property before he fell around 20ft (6m) to the street below. In the video footage, obtained by Birmz Is Grime, the man be heard screaming out in pain as he hits the ground while an officer runs over to him and shouts: "Stay there."The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and taken to hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We acted on intelligence and discovered around 70 cannabis plants at an address in High Street, Bloxwich, just after 11.30am on July 22."During a search of the property a man inside the premises climbed onto the roof and fell. "He has been taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening."He has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and will be questioned when considered medically fit."
