Afghan airlift: 200 foreigners land in Doha on first charter flight from Kabul since US withdrawal
The flight, whose passengers include Americans, Britons, Germans, Hungarians and Canadians, followed intensified efforts by Qatar and Turkey to get the Afghan capital's airport up and running again.
Severe flooding in Afghanistan, triggered by seasonal rains, has claimed 33 lives and injured 27 in three days, according to a Taliban spokesperson. Flash floods hit Kabul and multiple provinces, damaging over 600 homes, killing about 200 livestock, and impacting 800 hectares of farmland and 85 kilometers of roads.

Seven aid workers, including three Britons, who were killed in an Israeli air strike in Gaza have been named. British victims John Chapman, 57, James āJimā Henderson, 33, and James Kirby, 47, were deployed as part of the World Central Kitchen (WCK) security team.
