Booster jabs roll-out begins at care home in Cheltenham
Booster jabs are now being administered at care homes across the UK.
Evlyn Carey, who was first to receive a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine at a care home in Cheltenham, said it was “important” that everyone gets a booster to help protect the NHS in the winter.

Rishi Sunak has defended backlash from the latest NHS figures which show waiting lists have risen by 330,000 since he promised to cut them, insisting that the government's plan is working. "Whilst we haven't made as much progress as I would have liked, today's figures show we are making headway towards that goal. Over the last five months, there has been a reduction of around 200,000 in the overall waiting list which is positive and if it wasn't for industrial action, an extra 430,000 patients would have been treated," he added. Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has called for "restraint" in Gaza as he praised the action the government took over the weekend to defend Israel. It comes as Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles in an attack on Israel on Saturday night. Rishi Sunak insisted Israel has our "full support" as he condemned Iran's attack on Israel. It comes as Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles in an attack on Israel on Saturday night. The prime minister said the UK is urging Israel to show restraint.

Rishi Sunak said the conflict in Gaza "must end" as he addressed MPs in the House of Commons. The prime minister said he will be speaking to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to express solidarity and to discuss how we can prevent further escalation. "Nothing that has happened over the last 48 hours affects our position on Gaza. The whole country wants to see an end to the bloodshed and to see more humanitarian support going in," he added.

Foreign secretary Lord Cameron said he is "confident" the Rwanda bill will be passed by parliament this week. The legislation which is set to be passed declares Rwanda a safe country - after the Supreme Court blocked an earlier plan in November.
"If you can't send them directly back to France, the best thing to do is find another answer where people who come to Britain in that way can't stay in Britain. That's what the Rwanda plan is all about," Mr Cameron said.
