Dubbed β€˜Cancer Alley,’ this area of Louisiana has 150 plastic plants, chemical facilities, and oil refineries.

Due to toxic emissions from the plants, residents within the region are at a higher risk of cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory disease, and reproductive and developmental disorders.

A group of activists are pushing for a moratorium placed on the opening of any new plastic facilities.
